Maruti Suzuki Brezza – Released in a New Stylish Design

Maruti Suzuki Brezza : Maruti Suzuki has introduced a comprehensive redesign of the Brezza compact SUV, elevating its design sophistication and premium features while preserving the practicality that has driven its success as a bestseller.

The updated Brezza showcases a more confident exterior, luxurious interior fittings, and advanced technology commonly found in higher-end segments, showcasing Maruti’s strategy to position this high-volume model as an aspirational vehicle.

One of the most noticeable alterations is the extensively revamped exterior of the Brezza.

The front end sports a wider, more commanding grille adorned with intricate chrome accents that merge into the redesigned LED projector headlamps.

These lighting components are now equipped with crystal-like LED daytime running lights that form a unique light signature, setting the new model apart from its predecessor.

“We aimed to create something with genuine road presence,” said Takuya Hashimoto, Chief Designer at Maruti Suzuki.

“The Brezza customer has evolved, and so has their expectation. Today’s buyer desires a vehicle that makes a statement, rather than just providing transport.”

The side profile features more pronounced wheel arches accommodating newly designed 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, with strong character lines that enhance visual depth through the interplay of light and shadow.

The floating roof design, available in contrasting color options, further enhances the upscale look, offering personalization opportunities that were previously unavailable.

At the back, connected LED taillights extend across the tailgate, giving a broader visual impression and incorporating unique lighting elements that ensure the Brezza remains identifiable even in low light.

Additionally, the revamped bumper with a silver skid plate imparts a ruggedness that does not take away from the overall sophisticated look.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Cabin Experience That Exceeds Expectations

The transformation inside the cabin is even more striking, showcasing materials and features that challenge conventional views of Maruti Suzuki’s market position.

The dashboard features a layered structure with soft-touch materials, contrast stitching, and elegant touches of piano black and brushed aluminum.

Central to the interior is a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

This system powers the upgraded Arkamys-tuned audio system featuring six speakers positioned for optimal sound experience.

“The improvement in cabin quality is night and day when compared to the previous model,” remarked automotive journalist Vikram Mehta.

“The quality of materials, fit and finish, and overall attention to detail represent a true advancement, not only for the Brezza but for the segment as a whole.”

Enhancements include ambient lighting with customizable color options, leatherette seats with contrasting stitching, ventilated front seats, and a wireless charging pad equipped with a cooling function – features that were previously unavailable in this vehicle category.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Feature Set That Challenges Premium Competitors

In addition to aesthetic improvements, the Brezza comes with an extensive list of features that would be impressive even in premium offerings:

  • Electric sunroof with tilt and slide functionality
  • 360-degree camera system offering various viewing angles
  • Head-up display to provide essential information in the driver’s line of sight
  • Automatic climate control complete with rear AC vents
  • Push-button start accompanied by smart keyless entry
  • Cruise control integrated with a speed limiter function
  • Cooled glovebox and various storage compartments

The safety features have also seen considerable enhancements, with six airbags, an electronic stability program, hill hold assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors now standard across most variants.

Higher trims offer additional features such as blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts – advanced driver assistance systems that are typically rare in this segment.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Refined Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the Brezza continues to utilize Maruti’s reliable 1.5-liter K-series engine, enhanced with dual variable valve timing and an integrated starter generator for improved fuel efficiency.

This mild-hybrid setup boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.8 km/l for manual variants and 19.4 km/l for automatic versions – commendable figures considering the additional features and equipment.

The engine provides 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, delivered through either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

The automatic option is an upgrade from the former 4-speed unit, offering enhanced highway performance and a more responsive feel during overtaking.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Market Positioning

With a price range from ₹7.99 lakh to ₹13.96 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Brezza positions itself as a premium entry in the compact SUV market.

Though this reflects a price increase compared to the previous model, Maruti Suzuki argues that the significant upgrades in design and features justify this new positioning.

“The compact SUV market has matured greatly,” stated industry analyst Priya Sharma.

“Previous buyers of the original Brezza are now seeking an upgrade, looking for more sophistication without necessarily opting for a larger vehicle. Maruti has tailored this update to perfectly cater to that evolving demand.”

Initial feedback from the market seems to support this approach, with bookings surpassing 45,000 units in the first two weeks following the launch.

Maruti has also increased production capacity to handle the higher demand, resulting in waiting periods extending to 4-6 weeks, depending on the variant and color choice.
